What is Foster Care Fortnight?
Foster Care Fortnight is an annual campaign taking place from 12 –25 May to raise awareness of fostering and help recruit new foster carers. The campaign also aims to dispel the myths about who can actually foster, as the chances are that you couldn’t necessarily guess who fosters.
Hallam FM has partnered with Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley councils to help promote Foster Care Fortnight.
You’ll be able to see and hear real-life stories and experiences from real foster carers.
If you would like further information about fostering for your local authority, then get in touch with them today. They’ll be able to answer your questions, and you won’t be under any obligation to take it further if you don’t wish to.
On Friday 23 May, we will also be holding a specially-dedicated web chat on the Hallam FM website if you would like to ask any questions.
