Public voting has opened for the Jameson Empire Awards 2014!

Unlike fellow major awards ceremonies, the Jameson Empire Awards is voted for solely by the public giving avid cinemagoers the chance to have their say.

Voters can pick from movies released from January 31st 2013 to January 31st 2014 in a range of categories including Best Male and Female Newcomer, Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Best Thriller, Best British Film, Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and the Jameson Best Actor.

With Gravity, Iron Man 3, The Hobbit: The Desolution of Smaug, Man of Steel, Despicable Me 2, Star Trek Into Darkness and Monsters University among the big name movies in the hat, it should be a closely fought contest.

The winners will be announced on Sunday 30th March 2014 in London and the ceremony is expected to attract a host of star names from across the movie world.

Last year’s guests including: Daniel Radcliffe, Dame Helen Mirren, Martin Freeman, Tom Hiddleston, Danny Boyle, Sam Mendes, Samantha Barks, Sir Ian McKellen and Robert Sheehan.

Voting closes on Friday 21st February and the shortlist will be announced on Monday 24th February. Happy voting!
