Hi, I’m Ed and you can catch me on Hallam FM each day from 2-7pm. I was born and bred in Norfolk but just so you know my parents aren’t brother and sister and I have the normal number of fingers and toes. I used to play professional rugby but after injuring my knee in an accident involving too much beer and a scaffolding pole I had to give up playing.

The things I love most in life apart from working at Hallam Fm (hello boss!!) are watching rugby, sleeping and eating food with melted cheese on…. I don’t ask for much!!

Q. What's the worst job you've ever had?
I used to work in a Chocolate Factory. It might sound like a dream job but after a while you hate the sight of it and start dreaming about it.

A. This will sound sad but at the moment I am obsessed with typing words into the anagram generator on this web site www.anagramgenius.com - told you it was sad

Q. On my nights off you’ll mostly find me...
A. Going for yet another curry. There is no better place than spending an evening in a curry house - the popadoms with a full pickle tray is the curry fore play, then the main event is just the best thing ever. Obviously you have to have a few pints of cobra or kingfisher to wash it all down with.

Q. What was the first record you ever bought?
A. Kylie Minogue, I should be so lucky... I bought it on tape so that I could listen to it on my brand new white Sony walkman while I was skateboarding. I thought I looked so cool but I was very, very wrong!

Q. What would be your desert island disc?
A. Beats International, Dub be good to me. Thought the rapping on it was brilliant, in a funny way (Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty…You're listening to the boy from the big bad city…This is jam hot….This is jam hot), and the trainers the group wore were very cool.

Q. Where is your favourite place in the world?
A. I really like Greece as the culture is really relaxed, the food is brilliant and there are so many little islands to explore

Q. Name one thing you are really passionate about…
A. Rugby. I used to play semi professionally and lived and breathed it. If there is any rugby on tv or at a club nearby then I have to watch it.

Q. If you weren't doing this you’d be…
A. I would like to say rugby but I don't think I was ever good enough to make a living out of it and injury stopped me from finding out. As a result I might have to go back to the chocolate factory I hated so much…
